Things you should know before traveling in Iran

Dress code:

In Iran, Sharia laws exist, but they are not strictly adhered to by the majority. For men, a notable restriction is the prohibition of wearing shorts. Women face more intricate guidelines, requiring them to conceal their curves and cover their hair. However, the enforcement of these rules has seen an unofficial relaxation since the "Woman, Life, Freedom" movement gained momentum from September 2022. Brave women and men continue to champion their basic human rights, pushing back against the stringent norms.

Display of Love

Apart from that, public displays of affection are not permitted. However, while kissing or hugging your partner or friend in public might not pose a life-threatening issue, it's advisable not to go too far! :)
